Aberdeen has seen the emergence of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) as a viable option for Business Intelligence (BI) deployments. SaaS (or cloud based) business intelligence has grown to become an established and viable part of the spectrum of possible BI solutions.
Prior research by the Aberdeen group has highlighted both the economic advantages of cloud BI, in addition to the flexibility and agility that this class of solution can provide. In this update, based on data collected from 199 organizations using BI during April 2012, we examine how cloud BI deployments can help to make analytics usage more pervasive and widespread throughout the company.
