The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Start-Up Challenge is back.

Source : AWS

This contest, launched in 2007, is a way for promising start-ups to get noticed and compete for an opportunity to win some great rewards for your start-up. This year’s challenge offers prizes such as $100K in combined cash and credits for multiple winners, VC introductions, PR support, and more. If your start-up is built using AWS, we want you to apply!

Those who are eligible to enter include:

(a) Individuals or sole proprietors who have reached the older of 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence and have the full legal capacity to participate in this Contest at time of entry; or

(b) Privately held businesses that have not generated more than $10 million USD in gross annual revenues and no more than $10 million USD in outside funding.

Young companies worldwide can once again enter the contest – please read the eligibility portion of the Official Rules for detailed information.

As we did for the 2011 Start-up Challenge, we are working withYouNoodle.com, a global entrepreneurship contest platform, to help manage AWS Global Start-up Challenge entries. Using this platform, you can submit your entry, then return and edit it until the contest deadline on December 5, 2012. You will receive confirmation of your submission from YouNoodle and receive status updates throughout the contest entry period (12:00:00 A.M. Pacific Time (“PT”) on September 14, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 P.M. (PT) on December 5, 2012). The Judging Panel from Amazon Web Services will review and judge qualified entries, based on the judging criteria.

Meet Tier One Investors: At last year’s event, finalists met 1:1 with representatives from top VCs such as Andreessen Horowitz, Union Square Ventures, NEA, Accel and Madrona Venture Group.
